How long does it take to complete the course?

While this course is designed to work at your own pace, we do require you to complete the training within 12 months. If you are needing additional assistance please contact your trainer for further information.

Do I need a college degree?

No! However, we do require that you have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Can I be certified with multiple organizations?

Our training program is comprehensive and would not require you to need any other organizations. However, we welcome all clients, even those who have completed additional programs.

Is there an age limit?

The minimum age to enroll is 18.

When can I start working with clients?

Most doulas start working with clients after they have completed the coursework when they are finishing up the hands-on birth experiences.

When will I receive my certification?

After completion of the online course work and hands-on experiences. You will complete an exit interview with your trainer. After that, your certification will be sent to you.

When do I need to re-certify?

Once your complete your certification there is no need to re-certify annually. However, the doula business is constantly changing, and we do recommend taking a minimum of three workshops or training annually to continue your education.

When will I receive a trainer?

After you have enrolled in a course and submit payment, a trainer will be assigned to you.

Do we need to attend workshops?

Accepted Answer

The goal of our course is to allow students to work at their own pace. Workshops are not required, but we do not discourage expanding your knowledge and skill set.

How do I submit my assignments?

Accepted Answer

Your assignments must be printed, competed, scanned and emailed back to your trainer. Book Evaluation and Exams are atomated, follow the instructions, use you email that you signed up for in the course and send in via the submit button on the bottom of the page. Your exams will be graded by your trainer. They will send you your grade via email within 24hrs.
